Formation of Pike Lake Neighbors
During an online Zoom meeting Tuesday July 28, 2020, the attendees unanimously adopted the Constitution of Pike Lake Neighbors, Inc. This officially forms the organization and establishes its name, purpose, and membership criteria. Ten initial members attended and are enrolled.
The adopted constitution, and draft bylaws are on the bylaws page. https://pikelakeneighbors.org/members/bylaws/
Plans
Next steps are to
- Enroll more members.
- Hold an initial members meeting to adopt bylaws and elect officers.
- Submit articles of incorporation as a 181 nonprofit corporation.
- Establish a bank account.
- Collect dues.
- Continue to review and plan CLP control activities.
Given the current difficulty of holding in-person meetings and difficulty of holding large voting meetings remotely, it’s not clear when the formal membership meeting will be scheduled.
