Pike Lake CLP Status
We have done some preseason scouting. Most troubling, we see a significant new area in the northeast bay, in front of the Anderson, Skoviera, and Lorsung properties.
There is also significant growth of the patches near the river mouth near Ruggers and at the boat landing. The mouth of Weber Creek is heavily infested. There is an extended patch on the south point in front of Bradley’s and probably Gronen’s.
We assume that there may be other new patches. PLEASE check your own lakeshores up to 6 feet of water for CLP and report them. Also check all shorelines and shallow areas as possible when you are out fishing.
Yellow Flag Iris
We will soon see the infestations of invasive Yellow Flag Iris blooming on the west shore. We need someone to organize a control team to dig up these plants. We have permission from landowners to do so. At a minimum, please cut off the blooming flowerheads so they do not go to seed.
